Ownership and Management

Since 1984 EWH has been a family owned company. The Managing Director is the majority shareholder and therefore has a vested interest in the success of the company.

Policies and operational procedures in place are at least of industry standards, if not higher, to ensure price competitiveness and quality of service delivery.

Senior management have extensive experience in the food service industry. The Managing Director and Kingsgrove warehouse manager each has over 20 years experience in the industry.

Operations

EWH carries some 4,500 stock lines of dry and chilled products at its 2 locations. This is further supplemented by a restricted range of frozen products, primarily frozen vegetables and related products. In the unlikely event that an item ordered is not a stock item, EWH can procure the item using its extensive supplier network and other resources without delay.

EWH runs its own fleet of delivery trucks. The drivers are employees of the company. This allows the company to control and prioritize the delivery routes and schedules, based solely on efficiency considerations and customers' requirements.

EWH is HACCP and ISO 9001:2008 certified. This means that our customers can be assured that EWH's procedures and processes meets food safety standards accepted worldwide, and that products supplied by EWH are of the highest quality.

Customers of EWH may place their order(s) either by phone, or fax, or with our sales representatives. Delivery schedules depend largely on the date of the order, and are generally agreed in advance with customers; however where due to exceptional circumstances, a customer require delivery outside scheduled delivery, EWH always uses its best endeavours to meet such requirement. This is in line with the company's commitment to quality service.

EWH employs sales representatives in Kingsgrove and in Newcastle. All our sales representatives have undertaken appropriate training and have substantial experience in the foodservice industry. Each representative is allocated responsibility for marketing and customer relationship. Under this arrangement, each customer has a "point of contact". In addition, customers have full access to senior management, if and when required.

Customers

EWH is on the NSW Government panel of approved suppliers for foodservice since 1988. EWH supplies to several government entities, including hospitals, corrective services and schools.

EWH also supplies to nursing and retirement homes, major hotels and restaurants, Star City Casino, private schools and clubs, catering outlets and other food wholesalers.

Our customer base and size of some of our customers confirm that EWH is recognised as a significant participant in the food service industry, with the capability to compete on price and service delivery.

Financial Resources

EWH Has annual revenue and total assets in excess of $50 million and $15 million respectively.

Together with HAC, the combined revenue of our two companies would be in excess of $100 million.

In addition to operational infrastructure already in place, EWH has the financial resources to undertake major supplier contracts under different terms and conditions including short and/or medium term fixed pricing contracts. In addition, EWH has access to additional funding facilities and the resources of its associate.
